getFrisky! Around the World

February 14th, 2009

2008 was a good year for the getFrisky! brand of parties. It grew into markets we havent been to, while further establishing itself as one of the most go-to party destinations in markets we have been in before. We killed in the last getFrisky! Buenos Aires party - where 3000 crazy people came out to party with friskyRadio resident DJs providing the beats. We did parties in cities in Germany (multiple cities), India, Tunisia, Argentina, USA and Bulgaria.

And to further drive home the point on how big the getFrisky! brand has become, check out this picture of an actual billboard in Tunisia promoting the next getFrisky! event there at the Odeon nightclub:

2009 is looking like a great year for getFrisky! Already there are parties in the works in New York City, Helsinki (Finland), Moscow (Russia), Costa Rica, Paris (France), London (UK) and Los Angeles, CA.

friskyRadio is already the most popular and most-listened-to radio station on the planet for progressive house music - with getFrisky! I hope to make it the next best party destination as well. Stay tuned… this is just the beginning.

Vanity Fair is on a roll. After the scathing article on Sarah Palin, here comes another amazing must-read: A Day in Life of Obama on how he spends a typical day. And I thought I was busy.

An Israeli army officer who fired the entire magazine of his automatic rifle into a 13-year-old Palestinian girl and then said he would have done the same even if she had been three years old was acquitted on all charges by a military court yesterday.

What would make the Israeli Terrorist say such a thing? Because they are not human but are the scum of the Earth.

If you want to know what a joke and utter piece of shit Sarah Palin really is, you need to read Vanity Fair’s devastating profile of the woman. An amazing insight into the mind of Palin.

Once, while Sarah was preparing for a city-council meeting, she said, ‘I’m gonna put on one of my push-up bras so I can get what I want tonight.’ That’s how she rolls.”

Gmail is rolling out “Priority Inbox” a Facebook-like feature that predicts what emails are most important to you.

As messages come in, Gmail automatically flags some of them as important. Gmail uses a variety of signals to predict which messages are important, including the people you email most (if you email Bob a lot, a message from Bob is probably important) and which messages you open and reply to (these are likely more important than the ones you skip over).

I dont like Facebook telling me who my friends are, and Im not sure I like Gmail telling me what email is more important. I will just have to see how it works once I start seeing the Priority Inbox feature on my Gmail account.

Guy travels world for 3 years visiting 70 countries in total. This is his account.

On March 13, 2007, I handed over the keys to my house, put my possessions in storage and headed out to travel around the world with nothing but a backpack, my laptop and a camera.

As everyone knows, Im a bit of a wine snob. Here’s an excellent list of tips on how to order wine in a restaurant. This is true Ive seen some wine snobs do this and it makes me sick:

Save the slurping and gargling for Napa Valley tasting rooms and morning mouthwash. Try not to turn the stomachs of your guests with primitive rituals.
