2008 Summer Movie Preview Review

[Edit: OK, so Ive been working on this blog post since early April and I just havent had the time to complete it… Since we’re already in June, it doesnt make sense for me to wait any longer… so Im posting it as it is.]

Welcome to the second annual Summer Movie Preview Review! You can find my 2007 preview review here. Mind you these are not reviews of the actual movies but of their previews, which I think can be as exciting as the actual movies. Sometimes even more so.

Wall-E
All previews of this Pixar movie are brilliant but this one is the best.
The Fall
From the same director that brought us The Cell. This movie Im sure wont be as good as the preview promises but hey this is a review of the previews - and this preview is most excellent!
Wanted
Angelina Jolie looking hot and sexy… What more do you want? Oh yea, kick ass special effects!
Indiana Jones 4
No doubt about it - this is the most anticipated movie of the 2008 Summer. Im sure the movie will be kick ass as are all the Indy Jones movies but this preview isnt all that great.
Iron Man
This trailer cant be beat. And now that Ive actually seen the movie the preview is even better.
Hellboy 2: Golden Army
After Indy 4, Dark Knight and Wanted, this is my most anticipated movie of the summer. Its by the same director that did Pan’s Labrynth. Sick and twisted!
Tropic Thunder
This movie will be the breakout comedy of the summer. From the trailer its a little hard to understand the plot but who cares, this one is going to rock! Even Tom Cruise has a cameo in this movie as an ugly fat movie producer. That I gotta see!
Speed Racer
Trippy visuals and insane colours and graphics - just like the 80’s Japanese cartoon series. Im not in love with the trailer but Im sure the movie will be just as trippy.
The Dark Knight
This is the one movie Ive been waiting all year to see. The movie will rock, just like all its previews.
Hancock
“Mr. July” strikes again. Will Smith owns July box office. And this one will be no different. The preview delivers everything the movie will be.
The Happening
After the debacle that was “Lady in the Water”, I really hope this movie brings Shyamalan back to form. The trailer isnt all that exciting though.
Love Guru
Im sure the movie will suck but I have to admit the preview and damn funny.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Do we REALLY need yet another Star Wars movie? Er… HELLS YA bitches! I bet you didnt know there was another Star Wars flick movie coming out, albeit animated? Well then you aint no geek.
Sex and the City
Er… no. I wanna watch this movie just as much as I want to poke my eyes with needles. Excuse me while I go throw up now.
Righteous Kill
Four words: Robert DeNiro Al Pacino. Need I say more? Not since Heat have they shared the screen together and they are back together in this amazing film. Here they are again, back together and kicking ass!!! Cant wait.
The Mummy (again)
Did we really need another Mummy?
Pineapple Express
This looks funny as hell!
Dont Mess with the Zohan
This looks like one of those movies that have really funny trailers but the actual movie sucks. But this isnt the review for the movie is it? Nope, its a review for the preview. And the preview is funny as hell!
Children of Huang Shi
Looks pretty interesting.

    But agree with you 99%. Clone wars : Hell NO!! Mummy 3: HELL YES!!

    This summer is gonna be massive :D
