Is this crappy and fugly device from Amazon the Future of Reading? I think (and hope) not! Seriously guys, this thing looks like it dropped from the Ugly Tree and hit every branch on its way down and landed on its head. Holding one takes your sex appeal down a notch. Bah.

Do you remember The Cell? It was perhaps the most underrated movie of this last decade. What it lacked in script or plot, which wasnt bad at all, it more than made up for in its visuals. They were insane. Now a new movie by the same director is finally out after so long: The Fall. It promises to be even more of a mindfuck with brilliant visuals all round. I’ll definitely be checking this out.

Remember the monitors in the Minority Report? Well, they are almost here, and its Microsoft thats bringing it us! Check out this video demonstration of the TouchWall. Very cool. Right now it works by touching the surface. Im sure the “wireless” version is not far away, allowing us to control it like Tom Cruise did in the movie.

Imeem unseats Yahoo! Music as the top streaming audio destination in the US. What surprises me is that Muxtape, a brand new startup that lets you create digital mixtapes online, is already at Number 20.

I wish I could make this shit up! A guy dressed up as Darth Vader attacked two members of the Church of Jedi (a real church that I wrote about last year).

“Darth Vader! Jedis!” Hughes shouted as he approached [and beat up the Jedi Church members]. Hughes claimed he couldn’t remember the incident, having drunk the better part of a 2 1/2-gallon (10-liter) box of wine beforehand.

Glad to know that our human race is alive and well, and is evolving quite nicely.

“The word god is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weakness, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish.”
