Heroes - Its all falling into place

November 5th, 2007

Warning - Spoilers ahead.

I gotta admit. Season 2 of Heroes took its time getting it all together. It started off with a bang and then went into too many parallels and lost it a little I felt. Its taken its time, but last night’s latest episode it all fell into place. I had been waiting when we would see the Bad-Ass Hiro that we witnessed just twice very briefly in Season 1 (once in the Subway train and then again later in the “what if” episode where he’s been labeled a terrorist). I think what we saw in last night’s episode was the beginning of Hiro’s transformation from the naive idealist to the Bad-Ass Hiro that takes names.

I’ve throughly enjoyed David Anders in the role of Takezo Kensei. I’ve been a fan of his work from his Alias days way back in 2001, and its nice to see him return to TV. Even I didnt see the twist at the end… He’s playing the role he is most comfortable with: being the villian. It will be interesting to see how him and Sylar get on later this season.

Some people might say that hey, didnt they save the world from disaster last time… And what, you’re telling me that the World is in danger again? Those people are not getting the whole point of graphic novels. Everything comes full circle… If you stop one event - you can not really stop it, but rather delay it.. It will find another way, so all you can do is keep fighting the fight of “good” vs. “evil.”

I like where they are going with this in Season 2. Lookin’ good.

yepyep, last nights episode was effin awesome.

That was indeed a awesome plottwist, didn’t expect Takezo being Andy. But I wonder how he got all those powers. But finally the paintings fall into place eh? Too bad it only comes once a week, I want to see more more more :S

I like the way they changed the intro for Heroes aswell. First the yellowish circle that was the explosion and now te green circle as the virus :D

According to the Company’s boss, Bob, Andy is the Big Guy - the one that started it all. Remember he tells Nahtan in the office, “it all started with Andy, and we locked him somewhere and threw away the key. But two weeks ago he escaped.” That place was Japan! In the past!!! As soon as I understood that I was shocked at that revelation! I did NOT see that coming!

So Andy has now escaped somehow from the prison the Company put him in (Old Japan). Now what? And what are his real powers? It will be very interesting to see….

Today’s Weird News of the Day comes not from Japan as it usually does but from my friend Ingo’s country Germany. A convicted drug dealer escaped from jail this week. How did he do it? Here’s how:
Step 1. He bought a big box.
Step 2. He put himself into this box.
Step 3. He mailed the box with him inside the box to his home.
I say thats genius. Story here.

Theres a funny thing going on in India this week. Seems like the people are upset that Obama called Pakistan’s president but not India’s. And everyone is upset. Well, to the US at this moment in time, Pakistan is more important than India. Jesus fucking cry babies.

Want to work in the Obama Administration? Then you better be prepared to bare all your dark secrets. All applicants to senior cabinet-level posts are asked to fill out a 63-page questioner. Again - this is something that the Retards would never do. Link to the 63 questions [PDF]

This interview with Obama was taken in 2004. It dives into Obama’s religious convictions and beliefs, but of course also touches on some other points. A fascinating read on the President. His best answer is on Jesus:

Jesus is an historical figure for me, and he’s also a bridge between God and man.

Which is of course true. As you all know, Im Agnostic - and believe that the Bible and Koran are not “holy books” written by God but by wise, intelligent men trying to make a difference. Im glad we finally have a president that doesnt ask God about what to do. Religion is history, not divinity.
