Too Much Information?

May 30th, 2007

As I was playing around with Google Maps’ new Street View feature today, I kept thinking to myself: Its only a matter of time before someone sues them for invasion of privacy. Take a look at this map. I can clearly see a car’s license plate. And this picture of a jogger enjoying her morning (or evening, I dont know) jog, oblivious about the fact that her image is out there for billions to see. There are numerous other examples out there where I can see into people’s open windows of their homes.

I think there is undoubtedly gonna be some ethical and moral debate over how much information is too much, and where to draw the line betweek kick ass applications like Google Maps and privacy of citizens.

Update: A collection of some interesting Street View pictures.

Agreed. This is like the “security against terrorism” strategy the German politicians get assimilated by American idols at the moment. Fuck G8, this is about ruling the world by world rulers that no one elected as those.

Privacy is a BASIC RIGHT of every individual. Google StreetView goes WAY too far. What if I want to masturbate in a park? :D

Hmm forgot to check it at home!! At work no possible streetview. But yeah, its hard to draw a line, we want to fully secure us, but then we lost alot of privacy aswell.

Putin accuses Bush of provoking the Georgia conflict to help McCain. Although I dont agree with it Putin, its not without merit. Remember, the Republicans have nothing other than war and national security to run on, so they will scary the American people and make wars out of nothing, just to get the people to vote for them. Thats why they won in 2004. And I can bet you come late October or so, Im sure there will be a “credible terrorist threat” or something of the like that hits America. All they know is to scare people.

The latest release from friskyRecords comes straight in at Number 1 in the ProgressiveHouse.com charts! Straight in at Number One baby! I feel especially good about this one because this was the first release on friskyRecords that I picked up, rather than commissioning DJs to make us a track for release. This track was 100% my choice that I heard and immedaitely knew I wanted to sign on friskyRecords. This proves that no matter what I should trust my gut. Thats what Ive always done with friskyRadio, and now its time to do the same with friskyRecords.

So Barack picked Joe Biden as his VP. Its nice to know that Obama listened to me when I spoke about Joe Biden way back in July 2007. I couldnt agree more with this pick, Barack. Its also nice to know that when I talk about politics, Im not merely speaking bullshit - I actually know what Im talking about. Like when I called out in 2002 that Saddam didnt have any WMD at all, but the reason why he would never admit to it was that in the Arab culture, admitting defeat is like saying youre not a man. So Saddam would rather let the world think he had WMD by merely remaining silent… I was right about that too.
