For many of those that wish to make a change, the fact that we all seem to know that our individual influence won't make a difference stops us from making any real changes. Sure, it's great to be an individual, but it is more important to be part of a cohesive force. When we work together, as I explained to my three year old nephew, you become just like the power rangers when they combine themselves into one huge power ranger(or something to that effect). You become bigger, stronger. You have the strength to inflict more damage than if you were fighting by yourself. We want so badly to be an individual that we forget that if we work together, we can make a stronger impact than a $20 dollar donation out your barely enough paycheck. How hard would it be for us to say that for even one hour (longer would be more effective), our entire country will sit whereever we may be and go on strike. Save Darfur. Pay attention to our cries!!! Can you give up the payment of one hour for your work in order to strike for Darfur? Maybe, if everyone else was doing it. But first we need to get the word out. We will go on strike for teachers rights, bus operators healthcare. We will fight for a senators right to a three day work week. I mean, all we have to do is get the word out, and we can go on strike for darfur. We have to power to bring this country to a stand still. But my idea won't come to fruition. I am too complacent to make myself heard. As good as my intentions are, I have too much to worry about in my own life to make a difference. But please don't judge me, because so are you.
