Journalism in America

February 26th, 2006

Recent interview of Sir David Frost in his move to Al Jazeera. The “journalist” Deborah Soloman, and I use that term very losely after reading her questions and comments, proves the “Al Jazeera reports the news with bias” without even her knowing it. Just like CNN, MSNBC and any other US network is biased towards news and will report on items with an American point of view; does’nt Al Jazeera have a right to report the news with a distinctly Arab bias? After all, their audience is not some white farmer in the middle of Kansas. Lets not kid ourselves, all of us are biased in some way shape or form. That includes you and me. This is just one more proof of America’s hypocrisy. Freedom of the press, only if its slanted towards the US’s point of view and makes it look good. This interview just prooves to me what I’ve been saying for ages: that American “journalists” are the worst in the world.

They have some good journalists like Amy Goodman presenting daily news at Democracy Now, but I agree that the majority is just worrying about job security and kissing a.s to the governement and the corporations.

Putin accuses Bush of provoking the Georgia conflict to help McCain. Although I dont agree with it Putin, its not without merit. Remember, the Republicans have nothing other than war and national security to run on, so they will scary the American people and make wars out of nothing, just to get the people to vote for them. Thats why they won in 2004. And I can bet you come late October or so, Im sure there will be a “credible terrorist threat” or something of the like that hits America. All they know is to scare people.

The latest release from friskyRecords comes straight in at Number 1 in the ProgressiveHouse.com charts! Straight in at Number One baby! I feel especially good about this one because this was the first release on friskyRecords that I picked up, rather than commissioning DJs to make us a track for release. This track was 100% my choice that I heard and immedaitely knew I wanted to sign on friskyRecords. This proves that no matter what I should trust my gut. Thats what Ive always done with friskyRadio, and now its time to do the same with friskyRecords.
