Journalism in America

February 26th, 2006

Recent interview of Sir David Frost in his move to Al Jazeera. The “journalist” Deborah Soloman, and I use that term very losely after reading her questions and comments, proves the “Al Jazeera reports the news with bias” without even her knowing it. Just like CNN, MSNBC and any other US network is […]

When Morons Have Too Much Money

February 23rd, 2006

1. You get rich in the dot-com boom when you start gizimodo and trash talk industry leaders like Sony, Nintendo and Sega. Needless to say you go bust.
2. You buy a $1 Million Ferrari Enzo. Then you do this.
According to reports, Stefan Eriksson says he was not driving the car but […]

Countdown to Tuesday

February 19th, 2006

The Clash of the Titans is this coming Tuesday, when my dear Gunners meet Real Madrid in a crucial Champions Cup tie in Madrid. You know a game is important when Bergkamp says that he will go to Mardid by road (because he has a fear of flying and *never* flies anywhere) just […]

LOST :: Sophmore Slump?

February 17th, 2006

I both agree and disagree with Hammer, er, I mean Stephen on LOST. The last three episodes have been nothing short of boring and mundane. The extreme mystery and drama of the freshman season has been lost (if you will pardon the pun) among the boring stories and flashbacks of this season. The dialog, especially […]

An Israeli army officer who fired the entire magazine of his automatic rifle into a 13-year-old Palestinian girl and then said he would have done the same even if she had been three years old was acquitted on all charges by a military court yesterday.

What would make the Israeli Terrorist say such a thing? Because they are not human but are the scum of the Earth.

If you want to know what a joke and utter piece of shit Sarah Palin really is, you need to read Vanity Fair’s devastating profile of the woman. An amazing insight into the mind of Palin.

Once, while Sarah was preparing for a city-council meeting, she said, ‘I’m gonna put on one of my push-up bras so I can get what I want tonight.’ That’s how she rolls.”

Gmail is rolling out “Priority Inbox” a Facebook-like feature that predicts what emails are most important to you.

As messages come in, Gmail automatically flags some of them as important. Gmail uses a variety of signals to predict which messages are important, including the people you email most (if you email Bob a lot, a message from Bob is probably important) and which messages you open and reply to (these are likely more important than the ones you skip over).

I dont like Facebook telling me who my friends are, and Im not sure I like Gmail telling me what email is more important. I will just have to see how it works once I start seeing the Priority Inbox feature on my Gmail account.

As everyone knows, Im a bit of a wine snob. Here’s an excellent list of tips on how to order wine in a restaurant. This is true Ive seen some wine snobs do this and it makes me sick:

Save the slurping and gargling for Napa Valley tasting rooms and morning mouthwash. Try not to turn the stomachs of your guests with primitive rituals.
