I just got a brand-spakin’-new Mac G4 laptop from work. And the funniest thing is, I dont even work on any MAC technologies or products! My main product that I am the Tech Lead for, AOL Radio, currently only runs on the Win32 platform!!!But I digress… who the fuck cares? I got just a $2500 toy for free! All Ive been doing on it so far is surf the net and show it off at Cafes (and now my blog ). The back-lit keyboard that turns on automatically based on the amount of light in the room is fuckin’ insane! I love all the features that would simply cost extra in a PC - like Bluetooth, wireless airport etc etc. The thing is sweeet! I also love the easy iPod integration and the fact that I can more easily sync my music into my iPod. The ‘jumping task-bar’ is sick as well!

Work-wise though.. since MAC OS X is basically Linux, Im really diggin the UNIX terminal and since I use vi (yes, Im an old skool kid), I really dig the terminal… Im sure there are other benefits, but I havent found them yet… I also need to hit a torrents site** and snag a copy of Apple Aperture and check it out! ***Because paying for software, especially $499, is simply ridiculous! Im a huge proponent of free software for all, but that discussion is for another day.
