Fall TV Season

September 29th, 2005

Fall is here… leaves will fall, skirts will get longer (boo!) and weather will get colder… That means only one thing: New Fall TV Season is upon us!

Finally got around to watching the Lost Season 2 permier last night… Im happy to say that this show is getting better and I have to say weirder… Whats in The Hatch was certainly unexpected… Im curious to see where his will go from here.

Tonight starts another series Im looking forward to, Night Stalker. As a die-hard X-Files fan, this should be an amazing series…

Also, if they kill off Vaughn in the new season of Alias, one of my favourite shows, I will beat them down… Seriously… Like there cant be X-Files without Mulder, there cant be Alias without Vaughn… Who are they gonna replace Vaghn with? Ben Afleck??? But I have a feeling this might be Alias’ last season, as Jennifer wants to go and try her luck in movies… Bah.

There are other crappy shows like Commander in Chief, Treshold, Surface, Invasion, Reunion that looked good earlier but will get dropped like a rotten apple from a tree.

Well, it happend to Vaughn. Also, Surface is the lamest piece of junk, and Threshold isn’t much better. Invasion _has_ potential, but I doubt it’ll live up to it.

While I wasn’t impressed with the premiere of Night Stalker, Frank Spotznik (sp?) is a veteran at this game, and the upcoming episodes look a lot better.

Also, Prison Break is good, but I’m getting tired of suspending logic so often…

Well, Stephen - I dont think vaughn is actually dead. If youve been following Alias as long as I have, you will know that people have an uncanny habbit of coming back from the dead. Irena also was supposed to be dead last season, only to resurface in the latter part of the season.. I think they are making him look like he’s dead to protect him from the people that want to kill him.

Skirts get longer… and that’s really, really bad… that’s what the whole piece should’ve been about!

I might just have to subscribe to Vanity Fair. They have been on a roll lately. Now they bring us an amazing insight into the man behind Napster and Facebook (and who is also played by Justin Timberlake in The Social Network): Sean Parker.

He has financed the businesses of numerous cohorts, merely out of affection. “He’s one of the most generous people I know,” says another associate. “Also one of the flakiest.”

First person account from a 9/11 victim of how the term has been hijacked by bigots.

My husband, Eddie Torres, killed on his second day of work at Cantor Fitzgerald while I was pregnant with our first child, was a dark-skinned Latino, often mistaken for Pakistani, who came here illegally from Colombia. How did “9/11 victim” become sloppy shorthand for “white Christian”?

“Although September 11 was horrible, it didn’t threaten the survival of the human race, like nuclear weapons do.”

    - Stephen Hawking. I couldn’t agree more. Can the US get the fuck over themselves and stop crying about every fucking year now? Where’s the day of remembrance for 100,000 Iraqis killed from the illegal war?

Vanity Fair is on a roll. After the scathing article on Sarah Palin, here comes another amazing must-read: A Day in Life of Obama on how he spends a typical day. And I thought I was busy.

An Israeli army officer who fired the entire magazine of his automatic rifle into a 13-year-old Palestinian girl and then said he would have done the same even if she had been three years old was acquitted on all charges by a military court yesterday.

What would make the Israeli Terrorist say such a thing? Because they are not human but are the scum of the Earth.
