Internet Rules

December 24th, 2004

it never ceases to amaze me how many people actually read my little house of horror that i call my blog here. the other day i got an email from a complete stranger telling me that they like reading my commentary on the world of politics as i see it and they tune in to friskyRadio all the time. that really touched me and made me start to wonder how much the internet has really changed the world. strangers are no longer strangers. almost 400 unique persons a day checked out friskyGeek.com last month alone! it really does’nt matter that this particular person happened to be in Australia. when it comes to the internet, there are literally no borders and distances.

i have been fortunate to have grown up with the internet but i am old enough to remember a time without the www (world wide web) and the series of interconnected computer networks known as the Internet. I remember having to go to gopher to find something that i needed for a research paper or something. what a pain that used to be! those kids that are growing up in this Internet age will never realise what a marvel the Internet really is, and may not truely appreciate it.

I cant wait for when the networks are fast and reliable enough that anyone and everyone can truely be connected all the time. Internet Map technology to guide you home in your Internet-connected car, listening to friskyRadio streamed to your Harmon Kardon sound system in your 2008 M3. You can already log on and access Broadband Internet on Luftansa Airlines flights. So its not that far into the future! I personally cant wait for it!!! It will be awesome to be able to tune into to friskyRadio on my wireless Internet capable iPod for those commutes when I take the tube to work!!! Its coming. Not to far away now… Maybe in 4 years…

Thats the same what I’m feeling.
My friends and I listen every day to friskyradio.
    Why ?
    You play our music.
    Electronic music.
Every second, whenever my heart beat.
And so, you do a part of our daily work.
    Thanks for that, man !

Putin accuses Bush of provoking the Georgia conflict to help McCain. Although I dont agree with it Putin, its not without merit. Remember, the Republicans have nothing other than war and national security to run on, so they will scary the American people and make wars out of nothing, just to get the people to vote for them. Thats why they won in 2004. And I can bet you come late October or so, Im sure there will be a “credible terrorist threat” or something of the like that hits America. All they know is to scare people.

Ubiquity looks incredibly hot. Its the first step in making the web for for you rather than you using the web to get tasks done.

The latest release from friskyRecords comes straight in at Number 1 in the ProgressiveHouse.com charts! Straight in at Number One baby! I feel especially good about this one because this was the first release on friskyRecords that I picked up, rather than commissioning DJs to make us a track for release. This track was 100% my choice that I heard and immedaitely knew I wanted to sign on friskyRecords. This proves that no matter what I should trust my gut. Thats what Ive always done with friskyRadio, and now its time to do the same with friskyRecords.

So Barack picked Joe Biden as his VP. Its nice to know that Obama listened to me when I spoke about Joe Biden way back in July 2007. I couldnt agree more with this pick, Barack. Its also nice to know that when I talk about politics, Im not merely speaking bullshit - I actually know what Im talking about. Like when I called out in 2002 that Saddam didnt have any WMD at all, but the reason why he would never admit to it was that in the Arab culture, admitting defeat is like saying youre not a man. So Saddam would rather let the world think he had WMD by merely remaining silent… I was right about that too.
