					<description>yea ssskit, and i agreed that like hitler in the 40's, osama should have gotten the title of person of the year in 2001.  It wasnt mayor gulliani (who eventually got the title in 2001) that changed the world in 2001. it was osmama bin laden. you can not deny that.  like it or not, he was the &quot;person of the year&quot; for the most terrible reaons that year, and they should have given him the title that year.  

but of course these &quot;magazines&quot; are slaves to the stock market nowadays, and if they had taken a stand and really did the right thing, they would have suffered a backlash from the ultra-conversatives and narrowminded and ignorant american people, who would have boycotted the magazine and hurt its sales.  unfortunalte but thats the reality these days.

					<description>Don't forget that becoming person of the year isn't necessarily an honor. Back in 2001, they were considering giving the title to Osama Bin Laden. Of course, they backed off of the idea b/c it would be too controversial.</description>
