gimmie a break!

December 20th, 2004

this week time magazine awarded its person of the year award to george bush. i used to have respect for this magazine and grew up reading it. not anymore. for time magazine to further endorse bush’s cowboy style politics by awarding him this title is reckless. he gets my vote for the “moron of the year” the magazine for the “best used as toilet paper” award. fuck that.

    Don’t forget that becoming person of the year isn’t necessarily an honor. Back in 2001, they were considering giving the title to Osama Bin Laden. Of course, they backed off of the idea b/c it would be too controversial.

    yea ssskit, and i agreed that like hitler in the 40’s, osama should have gotten the title of person of the year in 2001. It wasnt mayor gulliani (who eventually got the title in 2001) that changed the world in 2001. it was osmama bin laden. you can not deny that. like it or not, he was the “person of the year” for the most terrible reaons that year, and they should have given him the title that year.

    but of course these “magazines” are slaves to the stock market nowadays, and if they had taken a stand and really did the right thing, they would have suffered a backlash from the ultra-conversatives and narrowminded and ignorant american people, who would have boycotted the magazine and hurt its sales. unfortunalte but thats the reality these days.

Another reason why Obama just gets it. Look closely here. That’s not a picture of an Obama billboard ad in front of a few cool cars. That’s a screen capture from the Xbox 360 racing game Burnout Paradise. Advertisers can buy space on the billboards in the game. And that’s an official Obama ad, placed by the campaign.

I think we might have found someone that is a bigger Star Wars fan than me. Check out this Jabba The hut wedding cake. Can we say geek? If I proposed this to my gf she would kill me.

“Overweight killer passes pre-execution medical exam”.

A double murderer who says he is too fat to be executed passed a pre-execution exam Tuesday and was cleared to receive a lethal injection.

Only in America do they make sure the person is healthy enough to be killed. Sheesh.

Loads of killer new updates and previews of upcoming games from the Tokyo Game Show here. Really looking forward to the new Prince of Persia and Sonic Unleashed. Christmas / Holiday season is approaching soon and like last time, I plan to immerse myself in games. Last year I completed Assassins Creed and Call of Duty. This year I hope to complete Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and Prince of Persia!

McCain = Coward.

“All of the things they said about Barack Obama in the TV, on the TV, at their rallies, and now on YouTube … John McCain could not bring himself to look Barack Obama in the eye and say the same things to him.”

- Joe Biden.
