Another rotten and useless day at work has just come to an end… I remember when work didnt used to feel like work at all. It was more like “hanging out with friends making cool music shit and getting paid for it.” I remember nights at the office, coding some cool shit while drinking the free beer that Wild Tangent always seemed to send us for free.
Now its all… fucking crap. Work politics bullshit. Working on a dead-end bug that happens to the AOL client about 1% percent of the time, and yet is somehow “top priority” for me to fix. I guess what I had for about 4 years there in the Spinner/Nullsoft office was too good to be true, and *this* is real life. I was one of the very few lucky ones that loved their jobs and what they did, and more importantly, the people they worked with. The people here are still nice but they are all older, married with kids and driving a minivan kind of married. Scary. I need to get out of here. Now.
