Best Picture: Lord of the Rings. Not because its great (which it is), but its truely an epic movie: 9+ hours long, made in the course of 4+ years. Epic. Too bad Lost in Translation (which was a genius of a film got released in the same year…)
Best Actor: Again, a difficult decision between Sean Penn and Bill Murray. But I have to go with Sean Penn, who is one of the most underrated actors and wasnt even nominated for his work in Dead Man Walking! He is phenonmenal!
Best Actress: Hollywood loves beautiful women acting ugly. And Charlize Theron is one beautiful woman. No contest here.
Best Director: Of course Peter Jackson. He made a movie which was thought to be impossible to make, and yet keep true Tollkien fans happy. He did both.
