Part of the reason I havent posted here a lot lately is that Ive had a couple of really rough weeks… Lets just say life isnt all that great for me right now. Its hard when something is right in front of you, and you know its what you’ve always wanted… But theres no way […]

And now, just in time

February 28th, 2004

And now, just in time for the Oscars on Sunday night, here are frisky’s picks:
Best Picture: Lord of the Rings. Not because its great (which it is), but its truely an epic movie: 9+ hours long, made in the course of 4+ years. Epic. Too bad Lost in Translation (which was a genius of […]

Project Kick-Ass BoomBox has begun. I just ordered a a/d/s P650.2 power amp. Next are Focal Polyglass 165V2 for the front, and a MTX Thunder subwoofer for some ass-shakin bootylicious bass! I’ll post pics of the custom installation soon as I get my stuff in the mail … woo hoo!

Could’nt have it said it better myself:

February 25th, 2004

And now, I present to you, a little Q&A session I had over email with my friend Xtine:

A: Im afraid of clowns! Clowns are scary! Yikes!
Q: If you had a preference- blonde, burnette […]

Esquire asks whether Chris Nolan (director of Batman Begins and Dark Knight) the greatest director alive? Well, they just figured that out? I’ve loved Nolan’s work since 2000 - after watching the brilliantly amazing and awesomely original Memento. You need to watch it if you havent already.

We’ll never get these guys to quit saying “FAIL.” At this point, it’s in their DNA. Like steampunk, Cheetos, and crying while masturbating.

The first War Crimes trial started in Gitmo Bay this week. Who is on trial you ask? A murderer of thousands? A mastermind of the terrorist attacks? Nope. Its for a fucking driver! They are charging a driver that drove Osama around for War Crimes. Hamdan is no doubt not without some sort of guilt, but War Crimes? Poor guy was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.

This is further proof of how little the Americans know of the culture of that part of the world. Growing up in Pakistan, I had not one but two drivers, as well as a lot of “domestic help.” Every middle-class family does. Did our driver know everything about our family? No. Learning about your “enemy” if more than half the battle, and the American’s cant even get that right.

Obama’s plan for Iraq, in his own words in the New York Times. And in the ultimate diss to McCain, the New York Times rejected McCain’s request that he be able to respond to Obama on the New York Times.

The Presidential Memorial Commission was successful in their petition to add a measure to the San Francisco ballot in the November election to rename a sewage plant to “George W Bush Sewage Plant.” Ive said it before - California dances to its own beat and San Francisco is literally the best city in the world. Period.
